THE BOOK CLUB IS MEETING VIA ZOOM DURING THE PANDEMIC.

No virus can stop the Y’sMen Book Club. We are Zooming right along. Once a month we set up a Zoom meeting and all members log in to discuss that months’ book. It is just as lively as if we were in the same room.

Our monthly zoom meetings start at 1:30 PM on the third Thursday of the month. Before Covid-19 we met at the Saugatuck Congregational Church. 

We have about 25 members, 10-15 of whom attend a meeting. Our meetings start with the selection of the book to read for our meeting two months later.  Our selections range from classics to the more recent, almost always fiction, and not overly lengthy. Recent selections include Albert Camus' The Plague, Evelyn Waugh's Scoop, Tony Morrison's Song of Solomon and J. M. Coetzee's Disgrace. Discussions, led by a different member each month, are lively and challenging. Everyone has an opportunity to chip in. Just what we need to perk up a day.
